Here's how my hand lettering attempts turned out :)

Knitting Adventures

Hey ladies,

look who's got a new toy :)

Well, the knitting machine is actually neither 'new' nor is it mine. It's my sister's. She left it at my parents' house and that's where it was for a couple of years without being used - until I decided to 'borrow' it for a little while :)

My first machine-knitted creation didn't turn out that well. If you have a closer look you can see there are a couple of mistakes in it.

The second one was way better! It measures about 1 meter. I think I'm going to make a draft stopper out of it. I'm just not quite sure yet what I'm going to stuff it with...

That's it already for today. Maybe I'll do a video about the knitting machine during the upcoming weekend, let's see...

Happy Hookin'!

Granny Wrist Warmers

Hi ladies,

just popping in for a very short blog post today :)

I made these wrist warmers quite a while ago but for whatever reason didn't blog about them yet.

The yarn I used is Schachenmayr Catania, which is 100% cotton.

Hope you all had a great weekend so far. Enjoy your day wherever you are!

Happy New Year, Folks!

Aloha fellow crafters,

I know, I know, it's been a while. A great while. About a month. So sorry for that!

I hope you all had some amazing holidays with friends and family!
Like every year, I spent Christmas and New Year's Eve as quiet as possible with my family. Christmas is family quality time at its purest for me. And New Year's Eve, well, I don't really celebrate that one. It's not that I 'hate' New Year's parties, they just don't appeal to me for some reason. So I usually stay up until shortly after midnight, wish my family a Happy New Year, sip on my champagne and then hop under my duvets as fast as possible.

Alright, let me show you what I did in the meantime...

This is my first knooking scarf!
For those who don't know what knooking is: It's like knitting with a crochet hook invented for people that aren't able to knit, people like me :)

I used three skeins of Schachenmayr Cotton Bamboo Batik in 90 sahara mix. A lovely yarn, absolutely fluffy!

That's it so far, more to come soon!
