Pinspired In The Kitchen: Earl Grey Tea Cookies

I'm currently working on a couple of self-made gifts therefore I'm not sharing so many crafting or crochet related posts lately. Sorry for that! In the meantime, here's another food-related blog post :)

Reason to pick this recipe:
I love cookies and I'm an avid tea drinker. Yes, I think that sums it up perfectly well :)

Tweaks made:
I used a Teekanne blend called Ostfriesen Teefix instead of earl grey. The label said, it's assam tea.

How it turned out:
Yum!

Pinspired In The Kitchen: Mexican Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding

Reason to pick this recipe:
First of all, it said "chocolate pudding" :) Furthermore, I picked this one because of the chia seeds in it, I always wanted to try those.

Tweaks made:
I skipped the optional ingredient cayenne and I didn't blend the pudding.

How it turned out:
After the avocado chocolate pudding experiment I was hoping for more yumminess this time - and it turned out great! Will definitely make this pudding again.

Pinspired In The Kitchen: Roasted Red Potatoes with Smoked Paprika

Reason to pick this recipe:
Just felt like having potatoes again. Plus I wanted to try those red skinned ones. And roasting something in the oven is one of my favorite ways to cook because it mainly cooks all on its own :)

Tweaks made:
I don't like garlic therefore I skipped that one and added some pizza seasoning instead. For more nutrition, I combined the roasted potatoes with roasted zucchini.

How it turned out:
Pretty good! A nice side dish I will definitely make again.

Have a sunny weekend everyone!!!

Crochet Bag

After hooking on this one for about a month and spending a whole weekend sewing (did I mention zippers aren't fun), I finally managed to finish another one of my resolutions for 2014 - the crochet bag :)

The yarn I used is a 100% cotton yarn, Mille Fili by Wolle Rödel.
The fabric is cotton as well. I bought it at IKEA - unfortunately, I forgot its name and can't find it online.

Pinspired In The Kitchen: Caprese Potato and Chocolate Pudding

I decided to introduce a new topic here on my blog: Pinspired In The Kitchen
I'm an avid pinner over at Pinterest and there so many yummy looking pins on my {food & drink} board, it is about time I try out some of them! Let's start with a caprese potato and a chocolate pudding.

Reason to pick this recipe:
The baked potato sounded healthy and yum and I always wanted to try avocado chocolate pudding.

Tweaks made:
I seasoned the baked potato with some black pepper, coriander and chives. Unfortunately I didn't have any basil on hand so I had to skip that one. The potato baked for about 50 min in the oven btw.
I used rice milk instead of almond milk for the pudding and added 1 tbsp of maple syrup.

How it turned out:

Extremely yummy, will definitely make that again!

Tastes a bit like extra extra light chocolate pudding, too
light for me. Nice try but will probably not make that one again.

Felt Egg Ornaments

So here's another project I had on my list of resolutions for 2014 - felt egg ornaments. I'm not such a big fan of fancy ornaments therefore mine are pretty simple:

I hope you are all having a great weekend so far! Enjoy your Sunday :)
