Anual Goal Setting [Freebie]

At the end of a year I usually take some time for setting goals and thinking about possible project for the upcoming year. I do so in 3 steps.

Step 1: Note down goals and projects for the whole year no matter when exactly you're going to work on it.

Step 2: Now sort those goals into the four quarters. If necessary break a goal down into various steps.

Step 3: Break down your goals even further and sort them into the 12 months. I recommend doing so quarter by quarter. Mostly planning a month in detail about a year in advance will not work out. So around the beginning of March sit down to map out your goals and projects for April until June and so on.

I love to have my lists of goals handy all the time therefore they're part of my planner.

If you would like to give this Goal Setting Technique a try, grab your printables right here (formats: A4, letter, A5, personal):

Simple Weekly Planner Template for OneNote [Freebie]

Happy New Year, everyone!

I am currently waiting for my physical 2025 planner to arrive. Unfortunately, the new year has already begun and I need/want to start planning. So I came up with a quick temporary solution: a Simple OneNote Weekly Planner Overview.
It will probably be used for just a week or two so it's nothing fancy, just a plain weekly overview:

And this is how I created said template.
I started with arranging a couple of text boxes to get an idea regarding the dimensions. Afterwards, I took a screenshot.

I then imported said screenshot into Excel and adjusted a simple Excel table to fit the dimensions of the text boxes.

Then I added lines to the table and copied it as a picture (as printed).

Now all I had to do was paste it into the OneNote page and adjust its size. To make it easier to work with I right-clicked on the table/picture I just adjusted and set it as a background. And that's it.

You can grab a copy of said Simple OneNote Weekly Planner Overview Template right here:

Dashboards, May Inserts & more Happy Mail

Hello everyone,

I know I'm a bit late to the party this week, so sorry for that :)

let me start today's blog post by showing you the monthly dividers of my Filofax planner that I've created not too long ago. It took me little while to decide on the right patterns for each months but now I'm happy with how it turned out :)

I even labeled all the tabs

January till June

July till December

Something else I would love to share with you is the lovely Happy Mail that arrived about two weeks ago from Algeria :) My amazing friend Sarra sent me so many lovely goodies:

I added one of the flowers to my April planner spread right away.

And now some impressions from Berlin city trip from last week. I took these photos from the TV tower shortly before sunset. Such an amazing view!

And last but not least, the May Filofax inserts are available :) You guys know the drill, hop over the Planner Inserts page and download your copy for free!

Thanks for stopping by today!

All things planner related

Hello everyone,

Today's post is for the planner people out there!

First things first, the Filofax Inserts for April are available! Go to the Planner Inserts page to grab your copy :)

New inserts - one sentence a day

Apart from that, I just recently created some additional inserts I'd like to share with you today:
  • "one sentence a day"
This one's for memory keeping and/or easy journaling. Each file contains pages for 28 days, 30 days and 31 days These inserts are available in either A5 or personal.
  • "order tracker"
This insert is designed to help you track outbound as well as inbound orders. There are columns for order date, shipping date, tracking numbers, etc.

I also got a bit creative right in my planner a little while ago. For whatever reason I felt the urge to create a little motivational board. I wanted it to be accessible for me as a little reminder so it had to be part of my planner.

And that's it for today.

See you soon!

Planner Fun & Happy Mail

Hello everyone,

well, first things first, the new planner inserts for March are available for download. As per usual, please go to the Planner Inserts page to grab your copy!

Besides the March inserts I also have another planner goodie for you - a Harry Potter Movie Tracker :) Its design is pretty basic so there's plenty of space to add some color if you like.

I am wondering, are there any inserts you would like me to add to my collection? Any special trackers, overviews, etc? Maybe a special format like A5 for example? If so, please let me know in the comments below and I will see what I can do :)

Apart from that I decorated my planner just recently with some easy self-made stickers. For the stickers I simply printed a couple of nice pictures I found via Google Picture Search as well as some of my own printables on a sheet of sticker paper. This made me think I should create more printables throughout the year, it's so much fun to work with them :)

Okay, so one might get the impression my world solely turns around planners and such. Well, I am happy to tell you that's not the case :) There are also other fun things like for example some Happy Mail I created and sent out in January. It has arrived by now so it's safe to share ;)

Happy Mail for my friend Kristin
I am soooo in love with wax seals lately :)

Happy Mail sent to my friend Sarra in Algeria

Happy Mail sent to my friend Dena in the United States

Well, that's it for today. Happy planning and crafting y'all!

Christmas Presents, an AliExpress Order & Tea Time

Hello everyone,

with Christmas 2017 being over for more than a month now I am finally able to share this Christmas present I hooked for my friend Kristin :)
I found this lovely Fox Head Scarf thingie over at pinterest. Unfortunately, the link to the pattern doesn't seem to work any longer. Luckily, I downloaded the patter before it was taken offline. So in case you're looking for the pattern but can't find it, let me know, I've got a copy stored somewhere on my hard drive and am willing to email it to you :)

This project was definitely fun to crochet. It took me quite a while but it was all worth it.
I used a 100% cotton yarn for it by the way. To be honest, I prefer using cotton yarns for all of my crochet projects lately.

Apart from self-made things I also love to give local products as presents. For example coffee from the two local roasters Seegert and Die Kaffeerösterin.
Lately, I also discovered wonderful products made from Kassel City honey like honey liqueur, honey vinegar or even mead. And an all-time favorite are the mug cakes from Tüpfelchen.

What things do you like to give as presents? Maybe also some products from your area?

Alright, change of subject. My AliExpress Order arrived last week! I love ordering planner and crafting supplies at AliExpress. You can get the cutest things and the prices are pretty low. And then it's always wonderful to finally receive your order which is always a surprise - because it takes quite a while to be shipped to you and in the meantime you normally forget what you've order ;)

Okay, here's what I got:

A transparent A5 planner for some memory keeping
A felt A5 planner for my spritual art project
A set of rings for filofax inserts archiving

Lots and loooooots of stickers :)

And in case you're interested in one of these goodies as well, here's a link to the AliExpress shop: JIANWU Shop

And last but not least, I had my friend Carina over for tea last weekend. Carina prefers drinking fruit tea so I brewed us a pot of my all-time favourite fruit infusion Roasted Almonds by TeeGschwendner. It's a seasonal tea that is only available around Christmas. Last year I bought an extra large package of it so that I can drink it all year around.

We had IKEA almond cake and Dongles donuts for tea :)

Well, that's it for today, see you soon :)

Planner Update, February Inserts & a Haul

Hello everyone,

January 2018 is in full swing and so is my planning obsession :)

Shortly before 2017 came to an end, I added a few more DIY dashboards to my Filofax. Once again I mainly used paper from my beloved Flow Magazine.

Last week I finally finished the inserts for February. They are looking slightly different than the January ones as you can see.
My intention this time was to use the weekly overview just for appointments and such. This way I was able to minimize the space for each day and put it on one page instead of two. I'll then have a full page for my to-do list. We'll see how that works.
As usual, please go to the Planner Inserts page to download your copies!

Side note 1: So far I haven't put any Paper, Wool & Yarn watermarks on my inserts but I'm thinking about maybe doing so the next time. What do you think?!

Side note 2: The Planner Inserts page got a little makeover. It started to get too crowded there so I simplified things a bit. I think it's way easier that way to find stuff on that page now.

Also in the last week of December 2017 I bought some cute crafty thingies that I wanted to share with you - see video below:

Happy Craftin' my friends!

Someone's busy

Hello everyone,

is it just me or is time passing by like extremely fast at the moment? I am already counting the days until Christmas which is approaching quickly and there's still so much to do before the end of the year. So many points on my to-do list, so little time...

I have to confess, I sort of fell off the planning wagon a little while ago and it took me weeks to get back on track. In fact I just found back to my old planner girl self last Sunday. And it all began with a simple brain dump. I just got so overwhelmed with all the things that required my attention. Writing it all down seemed like the best option. Afterwards I started sorting my notes. I created little to-do entries for the upcoming days, wrote down shopping lists and so on. It felt good. It still feels good.

my daily habit tracker for the next two weeks

Last Thursday we had a short power outage in my district. I just came home from work and started doing the laundry when the lights began to flicker and went out. For about 30 minutes we were without electricity. First I thought that just my apartment was affected. But after meeting a few neighbours outdoors I figured the whole neighbourhood was without light and therefore without electricity. Well, it didn't last long so it wasn't such a biggy. But things like that don't happen that often where I live. Luckily I was well equipped with candles (I knew buying candles in bulk at IKEA would pay off one day!) and flash lights.

Magical evening sky last Sunday

Luckily besides all the household chores and such I also found some time to be creative. I am currently in the process of recreating planner spreads I used in my 2017 Leuchtturm planner for my 2018 Filofax planner. Oh and I am thinking about sharing them with you when they're finished. Downloadable pdf files I thought would be convenient.

Well, that's it for today. Unfortunately, not so many crafty thingies, I know, I'm sorry. Next week I will give you a sneak peak of the planner spreads mentioned. I am not sure yet when I'll make the pdf files available. But stay tuned, I'll keep you posted.

Back to normal, slowly but steadily

Hello my friends,

I think I can finally say I've settled into my new place :)
Well, not everything is unpacked and I am definitely not done decorating but all in all my move is complete. And truth to be told, it took me long enough. I am still amazed by the amount of stuff I own...

The first Christmassy goodies I bought this year :)
Found these cute stickers at the local drug store (Rossmann)

My office / crafting room isn't set up yet. I still have to find a new cupboard which can hold not only my paper work but also my crafting suppliers. Quite a challenge, I tell you. But as I have finally figured out what hides in which moving box, I think I am sort of back into crafting action nevertheless.

The magical dashboard of my 2018 planner
I found this amazing paper in my stash

So last Sunday I started working on personalizing my 2018 planner. So far I decided on the first dashboard and I made notes on the different sections I'd like to create. Nothing huge so far but I am getting there. As I don't own a laminator I will probably buy some clear foil to cover all the other dashboards with. But that's not decided yet. Same goes for the question whether I will create all monthly dashboards in advance or on a month to month basis in 2018.
You see, still a lot of thinking and crafting to do but it feels good to be back in creating mode :)

Taking notes in my current planner planning
the sections of my 2018 planner

See you next week, my friends!

Planner Spreads May & June 2017

Hi beautiful people,

here's a short show and tell of my planner spreads for May and June. This time I'm not sharing the actual process of creating the spreads, I'm just sharing the finished spreads.

I am currently thinking about moving into another planner or journal. Traveler's notebooks for example have caught my attention lately. But I haven't decided yet whether or not...
Are you still using the same 2017 journal or have you switched to another one yet? Or maybe you abandoned planning altogether? Let me know in the comments below!

Thanks for stopping by!
