I thought it's about time I shared some crafty Christmas projects with you!
Truth to be told, there aren't that many Christmassy projects this year, just a few. But let me share at least a little something with you.

So I made a tree skirt! It's the Martha Stewart Scalloped Tree Skirt to be exact. Looks amazing but at the same time it's pretty easy to sew. Check out the video below to get an impression of this crafting project. I will also show you my Christmas tree :)

Back to normal, slowly but steadily

Hello my friends,

I think I can finally say I've settled into my new place :)
Well, not everything is unpacked and I am definitely not done decorating but all in all my move is complete. And truth to be told, it took me long enough. I am still amazed by the amount of stuff I own...

My office / crafting room isn't set up yet. I still have to find a new cupboard which can hold not only my paper work but also my crafting suppliers. Quite a challenge, I tell you. But as I have finally figured out what hides in which moving box, I think I am sort of back into crafting action nevertheless.

So last Sunday I started working on personalizing my 2018 planner. So far I decided on the first dashboard and I made notes on the different sections I'd like to create. Nothing huge so far but I am getting there. As I don't own a laminator I will probably buy some clear foil to cover all the other dashboards with. But that's not decided yet. Same goes for the question whether I will create all monthly dashboards in advance or on a month to month basis in 2018.
You see, still a lot of thinking and crafting to do but it feels good to be back in creating mode :)

Yummy Homemade Christmas Goodies

Hello everyone,

I hope you are enjoying a wonderful holiday season with your loved ones :)

Even though it's Christmas today is Sunday so it's time for another blog post.

You know, there's nothing I love more than giving self-made goodies for Christmas. Especially baked goods are the perfect Christmas gift in my opinion. This Christmas season I planned to do a lot of cookie baking. Unfortunately as I already told you I got sick and nothing I planned actually worked out. So I had to come up with some last-minute ideas...

Oh and by the way, Kristin contacted me in the meantime concerning the biscuits. She shared them with her lovely daughter and even Australian shepherd lady Hanneli took a bite. They all loved them, which makes me soooo happy :)

Merry Christmas!!

Hello everyone,

this will be my last blog post before the Christmas Holidays. Therefore it is about time to wish every single on of you wonderful Christmas Holidays and a great time with your family and loved ones :)

This year I decided to craft all the Christmas Cards myself instead of buying any. Here's a selection of the results. I decided to keep things simple this year.

I think they turned out quite nice, don't you think? I made most of the embellishments with my Sizzix BigShot. And you might recognize some of the paper from my Crafting Paper Mini Haul.

Furthermore, I want to share with you a short video in which I am showing you my 2016 Christmas Tree. Here we go...

Felt Animals for my Christmas Tree

All in all, these little guys turned out to be a quite time-consuming project. The prototypes alone took me about 1.5 hours each. But I am really happy with the result!

Owls for my Christmas Tree [+ Tutorial]

Hello everyone,

I finally started working on the ornaments for this year's Christmas Tree! Last year I went all Harry Potter and I loved it :) This year, I don't really have a theme. Nevertheless, I want to make a few ornaments myself. And these are the first DIY ornaments - owls!

It all started over at Pinterest where a lot of DIYs actually start. I came across this pin right HERE.

I tried to copy those but truth to be told, the result was a huge fail. But I wasn't willing to give up the whole idea so I did some sort of an interpretation using wooden balls from IKEA instead of fir cones. Et voilà, it worked!

Let me give you a quick run-down...

Materials needed:

• VINTER 2016 decoration balls from IKEA (currently available HERE)
• Thin felt in grey, light blue, white and yellow
• Fabric glue & hot glue
• Brown chenille
• Eyes
• scissors and a pen

And you might also need those three shapes. The biggest one should have an overall height of 6cm.

How-To:

1. For each owl, cut out two large wings, two small wings and one shape for the head plus a tiny yellow triangle for the beak.
2. Afterwards, glue one small wing on a large wing making two two-layered wings per owl using fabric glue. Mix and match the colors of the felt you are using.
3. Glue a little yellow beak plus two eyes on the shape for the head using fabric glue.
4. Using plies and a wire cutter, put together two feet per owl using the brown chenille.
5. Glue two wings, one head shape and two feet onto one decoration ball using hot glue.

Merry Christmas!

I know it's been quite around here for a couple of weeks now. I honestly can't tell when I will get back to blogging on a regular basis, I'm sorry. Today, I'm just poppin' for some warm holiday greetings :)

Merry Christmas everyone! Enjoy the hopefully quite time with your loved ones and eat lots and lots of yummy cookies!!!

Here are pictures of my tree this year. It's Harry Potter themed and decorated with ornaments I created myself during the last couple of months. There are for example Ministry of Magic memos and howlers and marauder's maps and Bertie Botts beans of every flavour and quills and remembralls...

Tea and Cookies

Hello Ladies,

November is a strange time. It's sort of in-between Fall and Christmas season not really belonging to either of the two. But nevertheless, Christmas is not too far away. While walking through the streets downtown this morning, I realized they are already setting up the Christmas Market. Now that's definitely a sign, Christmas is approaching with great strides. So why not getting into the mood by baking some cookies and having a nice tea :)

So far, I baked three kinds of cookies.

And while having a cup of tea yesterday, I thought why not hooking a really simple Christmas-themed mug cozy.

So did you start to prepare for Christmas yet? Any cookie baking? Decorating? Crafting?

Christmas Tree Miniature Bunting

Hey ladies,

how are Christmas preparations coming along?
A couple of weeks ago I started to craft new ornaments for my tiny Christmas tree. My small evergreen (yes, it is plastic but still it looks darn realistic) is just about 50 cm so every ornament needs to be pretty small.
Over at pinterest I found a couple of pins that showed wonderful Christmas tree buntings. An absolutely lovely idea! So I made one for my Christmas tree as well - of course extra small.
Every piece of cardboard on which I drew the letters is just 1,5 x 1,5 cm. Can't wait to finally see it hanging on my tree this year :)

How are you decorating your tree this Christmas season? Are you more into natural decorations or do you prefer for example baubles?

Christmas Cards

I just finished these two Christmas cards and I must say I really like them :) They turned out pretty nicely!

Stocking up on Stockings

A great while ago I started crocheting little Christmas stockings. I thought they might make cute little gifts for my friends. In the end I made 10 of them in red and white:

Simple Christmas Trees

Yes, I began to stock up on Christmas decoration!
One of my favourite sources of inspiration is pinterest. A couple of weeks ago I found a few crochet Christmas trees over there. Unfortunately, the tutorial was missing. But luckily, it's absolutely easy to make these cute little trees. All you need is a cone (I made some out of paper), your crochet hook, some yarn and glue - et voilà:

Stockings

I'm already trying out some patterns for Christmas. This time I worked on some little Christmas Stockings.

I made a traditional red and a multicoloured one.

Up to now I'm not sure which version I prefer, they look both pretty nice. Maybe I'll choose red when making them as presents and the multicoloured stockings would make a nice decoration.... What do you think?
