Hi all,
this is also something I worked on during my blogging hiatus.
I might have already told you in one of my former blog posts that I own the Martha Stewart Encyclopedia of Fabrics and Sewing. Besides all the great tips it also has awesome project ideas in it. One of it is called Menswear Mice.
I made four of those using some IKEA cotton fabric. They turned out quite nice I'd say. Three do also have a bit of catnip in them beside the usual fiber fill. I already gave one away to my colleague and her two tigers seemed to like it :)
You can find the pattern online at the Martha Stewart website if you want to make some yourself!
Have an awesome evening, everyone!

Macramé Books + Someone's been baking
Hey all,
another Wednesday, another blog post, just as promised :)
So every once and a while when I'm visiting my parents I go through my mum's crafting books. She's got great books about all different kinds of crafting techniques. Some of these books are actually older than I am. For some reason these are the ones that are the most fun to read. Maybe because they didn't have Photoshop back then and everything looked more realistic.
Well anyways, last lime I discovered two beautiful macramé books from the 1970s. I wouldn't go as far as to say that macramé is becoming popular again over here, but I think it's safe to say it's still a quite interesting crafting technique and you can see more and more macramé supplies popping up in my favorite craft store.
Here are the two beauties:
And in case I didn't forget to switch both videos to public you can even watch them over at YouTube :)
Apart from that, I did some baking over the weekend. I actually forgot to buy bread during my weekly Saturday morning grocery run. Remembering the organic whole grain bread baking mixture I bought a couple of weeks ago, I decided to bake some instead of paying the local bakery a visit. It took quite a while with all the kneading and letting the dough prove but it was worth the result :)
I hope you had a great week so far!

Just a Mandala
Hi there,
how's it going at your end of the blogosphere? Yes, I'm back from my little blogging break, guys :)
Today I'm showing you something I actually worked on while Paper, Wool & Yarn was on hold.
A while back I bought some plain document files at IKEA to store some of my favorite magazines in them. Well, they are blank which means they look a tiny bit boring. I now decorated one of the document files with a manadal which I drew freehand all by myself.
Take a look yourself,,,
What have you been up to lately? Any new projects planned?
See you soon!

I started with pencil.... |
...then went over the contours with a black fineliner... |
...and finally colored the mandala using some IKEA markers |
